Policy of Virtuoso School of Music and Art
Academic year runs from September till May inclusive. The School works during the summer time as well . The School is closed for Thanksgiving (from Wednesday to Sunday), Christmas week (two days before Christmas day till January 1st inclusive).
One time non-refundable registration fee is $35 If a family has 2 or more kids registered in the School the registration fee is $65 for the whole family. If a customer leaves the school after submitting a quitting notice ,they will be responsible for paying the registration fee. If a customer leaves the school for a limited time, they may submit a non-refundable $50 preregistration fee to reserve their scheduled time. This amount will be credited to the first monthly payment after break. If a customer submits a prere3gistration fee and dose not return ,the preregistration fee will not be refunded.
A tuition invoice for a month is emailed to you on or before the 30th of current month if you pay month by month. If you buy a package, the invoice is sent you before the termination of the package. It is parent’s responsibility to see the school director if the bill had not been received by the end of the month. The payment is due on 7th of each month. Late fee of $35 will be included in the following month’s bill. We accept cash, check, debit or credit card (credit card fee is 2% of every transaction),Zelle,
Venmo .Checks should be made payable to Virtuoso School of Music and Art. There will be additional $25 fee for every returned check. Refunds are available in extreme cases only. The decision will be made by the music school director. If you but the package ,the invoice will be sent to you before the termination of the package and the payment is due on the first of the net package. Packages are available for private lessons only .It is parent’s responsibility to see the school director if the bill has not been received by the end of the month. All monthly installment fees must be set up be pre-authorized debit or credit card payment at the time of registration. Tuition will be debited from your bank account or charged to your credit card on the first day of the new package. We only automatic payment accept (automatic payments fee is %2.4 for every transaction. If automatic payments are declined ,customer will be charged an additional $35 as a late fee. Customer are responsible for communicating changes is the bank or card information to the school Director. Refunds are available in extreme closes only. The decision w2ill be made by the music school director.
Missed Lessons and Tardy Arrival
Please, provide a 24 hour notice if you are not able to come for the next lesson. It gives us an opportunity to reschedule your lesson. Canceled lessons or missed lessons without prompt notice are not refundable .The administration discusses the the lesson day and time of the lesson prior the lesson with a parent or adult student. Students arriving late will not have their lesson time extended. Students arriving the late by more than half of their period will be considered absent, and their instructor will be dismissed .
Lessons can be rescheduled up to 2 lessons per semester. Rescheduling is subject to teacher and room availability. The School always meets halfway to those who provide prompt notice about inability to come for the scheduled time. Only private lessons could be rescheduled. Group lessons (Theory and Ear Training, Group Keyboard, Art Group Class, Dance Classes (except private), Preschool Class, School of Little Talents) cannot be rescheduled. The only way for your child to attend missed group lesson is to come with another group of this class only in case if we have one.
Quitting the School
If you have any questions or problems either with your lessons or teacher or anything considered the School Director know immediately .It allows the School to solve it and misunderstanding in future. If you any reason decide to quit the school and stop taking lessons, you should provide a 30 day’s notice to the director ,not to the teacher and complete a written quitting form.
Summer Schedule and Preregistration
Between June and August 15,the summer semester ,students are given one vacation week off at a date of their choosing. Students will not be charged for that week provided they communicate the date with the Director or the Office Manager .If students will miss more than one week of lessons in the summer ,they will communicate with the Director or Office Administrator to schedule make up classes for the lessons they missed when they return .Students will be billed for the weeks they will be absent in the summer semester .Students who will be absent for a majority of or the whole of the summer semester will be asked to prepay a $50 preregistration fee per student to reserve their lessons dates, times, and teachers in the fall semester. The total preregistration fee will be deducted from the students’ first fall invoice. If student will not come back to the school until September 1 ,his/her reserved slot will no longer available and preregistration fee of $50 will not refundable.
In case of inclement weather or other unforeseen emergency Virtuoso School of Music and Art will notify the students by e-mail or phone. Please, be sure that the music school will make decision based on safety conditions. The school will make all possible effort to have make-up lessons during nearest weekend, given safe condition. Parents must bring their children for the make-uped lesson. If the parents or adult students would not do it, the missed lesson is not-refundable.
A qualified substitution teacher will be provided in cases of primary teacher absence due to illness or personal emergency. Virtuoso School of Music and Art reserves the right to replace current instructor with a new qualified instructor during your education at the School. In case of student or teacher illness or absence ,both parties may be asked to have a virtual ,Skype lesson instead of scheduling a separate makeup class (Please provide your Skype username at the registration)
Parent and Adult Student Responsibility:
It is parent’s or adult student’s responsibility to check out school activities and closings. The information is provided by e-mail, by text or on our Facebook page immediately. Parents and Adult Students are not allowed to take the phone numbers, e-mail addresses, or any other personal information from our Teachers. The communication between
Students and Teachers is carried out only via Administration of the School .If you or your child could not come for the time of your regular lesson or you just have questions considering the School, do not hesitate to turn to the Director or Administrator of the School, we can find convenient solution for both you and your Teacher .
Virtuoso School of Music and Art is not responsible for providing students with rooms before or after their lessons. That why, provide your child with safe transportation to and from the School. It is parent’s responsibility to wait for their son or daughter while he or she is taking the lesson.
Our school takes the learning process very seriously. That why parents are responsible for their children’s behavior. Explain your child that the School is the public place. Do not let your son or daughter run, scream, spoil the walls or produce noise. There is to be no gums, food or drinks in class. Remember that the learning process is in progress. In our school keep order as it is your own place. After the lesson parents have no more than 5 minutes with the teacher to discuss their child’s progress because other students are coming to the next lesson. Mobile phones are permitted only in the waiting area for short conversations. Please, make sure that you do not disturb students during their lessons. Keep your voice low.
Music Theater Class has sessions. After beginning of the Class children get their characters. This session ends up with the performance. We want the parents who want to enroll their children to Music
Theater to ensure the School that their children will stay in group till of the session.
School of Little Talents
School of Little Talents Program is held by sessions 1th semester (August-December) and 2th semester (January-June).After the end of a period of the program , a child has an option either to choose any private or group classes or continue the next period of the program. Especially for the students of School of Little Talents we want parents to ensure the School that their children will complete 5 month program (to December or June )and will not quit before it ends.
