Amelia Donoghue

Piano and Music Theory

Amelia Donoghue’s passion for music began the moment she first encountered a piano. Initially trained by private instructor Ani Hovsepian, she furthered her studies at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School under Elizabeth Skavish. Amelia completed her Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music under Karen Ann Krieger, where she was a finalist in the concerto competition. She then earned her Master of Music Education at Vanderbilt’s Peabody School.

As a soloist, Amelia has performed at prestigious venues such as the Mozarthaus in Vienna and various locations in Budapest. She has also graced the stage of NEC’s Jordan Hall multiple times. A dedicated chamber musician and collaborative pianist, Amelia frequently collaborates with colleagues and friends. Notably, she performed a concerto with a chamber orchestra in Fort Worth, Texas.

In addition to her performance career, Amelia is an experienced educator. She has worked as a private piano teacher and as a general classroom music teacher, instructing students of all ages, from elementary school children to adults. Her dedication to both performance and teaching underscores her commitment to the art of music.
