Music has been a part of my life since I was born. Raised by an opera singer and descended from a line of singers and musicians, I have loved music, art, and storytelling since I can remember. I hold a BFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and have spent over a decade performing professionally in theatre, film, television, and music. My credits include Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, NBC’s Chicago Med, and the feature film Knives and Skin, which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival. I have also served as Music Captain on professional theatre productions. As a singer-songwriter, my music spans folk, blues, jazz, and beyond.
With over 20 years of personal vocal study and experience coaching performers, I bring both technical knowledge and artistic sensitivity to my teaching. I believe that making music is a lifelong pursuit that is endlessly expansive and enriching. My approach combines healthy vocal technique with curiosity, play, and creative exploration. I encourage students to work hard, take risks, and discover the freedom and joy that comes with embracing their own voice.
