Clarinet /Flute / Saxophone
He plays first flute and piccolo in the Charlotte Flute Choir and performs frequently
in the area as a member of a flute quartet. He earned his Ph.D. from the College of
Education at North Carolina State University and has worked with students from every age
from beginners in elementary school through adult learners. As a flutist he has performed
at new music festivals in Charlotte and as a soloist in Tampa and in Rochester, New York,
and as a saxophonist he has performed recently at master classes at Wildacres in North
Carolina and at the Center for Music and Nature in Tennessee. Dr. Clark emphasizes music
education as a gateway for building curiosity and enthusiasm in students that leads to
them becoming lifelong learners in all areas.
