Chiara Capobianco was born in Milano (Italy) in 1980; Music Graduate in Harp (10 year course) at Conservatorio “G. Verdi” Milano (Italy). University graduate in Musicology at Scuola di Paleografia e Filologia Musicale di Cremona (Università degli Studi di Pavia- Italy).
She started playing with many different Orchestras (Opera and Symphonic) touring all over Europe since she was fifteen years old.
She has performed at many concerts and events with both classic and Irish harp as solo harpist as well as alongside other musicians. She studied different types of music, which have given her a varied repertoire ranging from classical, medieval, renaissance, Irish, popular and contemporary music. She has also had the chance of studying with harpists such as AnnadeleMariani (Italy), Carrol McLaughlin, Harvi Griffin and Park Stickney (U.S.A), Susanna Mildonian (Belgium) and Isabelle Moretti (France).
In 2003 she moved to London UK where she performed in several renowned venues, since September 2004 she has been playing on the Cunard ships Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Victoria travelling all over the world.
She had also performed in prestigious venues in U.K., Bahrain, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Paraguay , Ireland, Spain,
She was the first Italian Harpist invited to perform at the prestigious Festival Mundial de l’Arpa (october 2011) in Asunción (Paraguay),
From 2011 she has been enjoying a musical career in India (being the only harpist in the whole country) performing all over the sub-continent for various events and concerts.
She was the resident harpist at Plaza Athenee’ Meridien Hotel (5star) in Bangkok & currently resident harpist at the Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin (5 star).
Alongside she is also been appointed adjunct professor (art & music) at Webester University (Cha Am / Thailand Campus).
Dec 2002 University graduate in Musicology at Scuola di Paleografia e Filologia Musicale di Cremona (Università degli Studi di Pavia- Italy) with a final thesis in: “L’arpa nei trattati d’orchestrazione dell’Ottocento francese”.

Since 1990 I have had a lot of concerts as a solo harpist (with both classic and Irish harp) as well as with other musicians (duo with another harp and also with violin, flute, cello, piano, voice, ensembles…), performing in Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Ireland and Spain.
In London I have had the pleasure to play at many renowned venues such as Claridge`s Hotel, Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane Hotel, Grosvenor House Hotel, Kai Restaurant in Mayfair, London City Hall, Art&Music installation Art Gallery 291, Studio 28, Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art, The Lane Lounge Bar, Hooka Lounge Bar, Vibe Bar.
I have also performed with the group Sitar Fusion Project combining classical Indian beats with western contemporary sounds; performances in London area (Bengal Quay, Bricklane Festival…)
