Anna Avazyan -Piano,Voice and Art Instructor
Anna Ayvazyan has 13 years of classical piano training, with five years studying with her mother Ruzanna Torosyan, a local piano and voice teacher who completed her masters at Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, Armenia. Anna holds a BA in Music (Piano) and MBA from Wingate University. At Wingate, she studied piano with Dr. David Brooks (DMA, UNY – Stony Brook University).
Growing up in the Charlotte area, Anna participated in numerous recitals at her school and Federation Festivals and forums at Queens University. Having had the experience of participating in local piano events herself, Anna enjoys preparing her own students for these opportunities! She has served as an adjudicator for the National Federation of Music Clubs Piano Festival. In addition to her private lesson teaching experience, Anna has also led music theory workshops and master classes for her students. She is an accompanist at St. Sarkis Armenian Church of Charlotte. Anna also teaches dance, art and voice part time. Anna is Armenian-American and she is fluent in Armenian, Russian and English. She also enjoys travel, painting and takes dance lessons for herself in her spare time.
